OBSB: 8% TCA Peel My Chemical Peel History

I have a long history with using chemical face peels to correct hyper pigmentation and prevent mild acne breakouts. As I age, the peels I use are changing to include chemicals that are anti-aging as well. I show my first application of a TCA lunch peel. This is a very mild 8% solution as I test how my skin responds compared to past peels. I also talk about my history with home peels. Including the chemicals I have used for light and medium peels including Glycolic, Salicylic, Skin Culture and Lactic Acid. I began doing face peels 5 years ago after years of using AHA lotion on my face daily for acne prevention. Skin care is a hobby for me. I love the science. I love that we live in a time where there are real active ingredients that do things our grandmothers only dreamed of. I believe growing old gracefully doesn’t mean tossing my hands in the are and letting my face fall off. For me, it means prevention of unnecessary aging and embracing of the natural. MOST of aging is actually sun damage. If we use antioxidants, have good nutrition and prevent/treat changes to our skin causes by the sun, I believe the face of aging would be much different from what we consider normal. I have been receiving frustrating negative comments on my anti-aging and hyper pigmentation routine. This is MY routine.
